Human Resources Generalist (1011589)

Our client is a non-profit organization. They are looking for a temp to perm Human Resources Generalist to join their Manhattan, NY office. 

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the recruitment process for all job vacancies
  • Handle internal and external postings, job fairs, writing ads, etc.
  • Track all employment changes, including new hire, terminations, etc.
  • Manage and support the annual employee evaluation process 
  • Work with Payroll and Benefits to troubleshoot payroll issues
  • Process all leaves of absences, including disability, FMLA, WC
  • Assess and pay all monthly and quarterly insurance bills
  • Support the Director of Human Resources on disciplinary issues
  • Run new hire orientation, including scheduling, paperwork, etc.
  • Oversee and regularly update the OMH fingerprinting database

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources
  • 2+ years of experience in Human Resources
  • Able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical, organized, with strong initiative
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information
  • Technically savvy, including skills in MS Office
