Our client is a pharmaceutical company. They are looking for a Controller to join their Chatham, NJ office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly and quarterly accounting closes, including of our foreign subsidiary 
• Execute day-to-day accounting, including general ledger and monthly journal entries
• Complete complex account reconciliations, including stock comp, intercompany, etc.
• Handle financial reporting, financial statement issuance, and technical accounting memos
• Design, recommend, carry out, and regularly update internal control framework
• Prepare and implement new accounting systems for accounting and forecasting
• Assist with the external audit process and complete auditor's documentation requests
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws as well as US Sarbanes Oxley regulations

Requirements

• 9+ years of accounting experience
• Public or combo background (Big 4+)
• Pharmaceutical industry experience
• Strong GAAP and SEC knowledge
• Managerial experience preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Skilled in MS Office and Great Plains G/L
• CPA required
