Our client is an investment management firm. They are looking for a VP, Corporate Accounting to join their Los Angeles, CA office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the monthly NAV, weekly executive reporting, and ad hoc reporting
• Contribute to the preparation of the quarterly financial statements
• Maintain accounting records, including trade activity, revenue recognition, etc.
• Produce a variety of schedules that detail the portfolio and portfolio activity
• Draft financial statements and related schedules and coordinate with external auditors  
• Monitor and maintain fund expense budgets and oversight of expense payments
• Review maintenance covenants and prepare compliance filings for the lenders
• Collaborate with external servicers, administrators, auditors, and tax consultants
• Liaise with Operations, Investor Relations, Compliance, Legal, and the investment team

Requirements

• 12+ years of corporate accounting experience
• Financial Services/Hedge Fund background
• Combo accounting background with Big 4
• Strong managerial skills
• CPA preferred
