Senior Auditor (56167)

This company is a full-service professional accounting firm. They serve clients throughout Suffolk and Nassau County.


  • Manage engagements within a budget
  • Delegate and review all work within the engagement process
  • Ensure that staff completes and follows up on all procedures
  • Maintain an open item list and ensures that all points are cleared prior to finalization of the engagement Inform manager/partner immediately of all material engagement issues (professional judgment should be used when deciding whether or not to inform client personnel of issues, prior to communicating with partner/manager)
  • Properly plan and document all engagements
  • Continually look ahead to ensure that procedures that can be completed now or information that can be gathered now is addressed and not deferred
  • Be responsible for security and completeness of all electronic work papers and files pertaining to the engagement
  • Prepare financial statements & supporting schedules, reports (as applicable) in accordance with standards and regulations (intermediate level of understanding)
  • Actively pursue CPA certification by sitting for all scheduled exams, where applicable


  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years from public accounting
  • CPA preferred
  • Government clients a plus
  • Thomson Reuters Programs (Advance Flow and Go File Room) a plus
