A healthcare company is seeking a Senior Accountant for a temporary role.

 

The ideal candidate individual must be a self-starter, analytical, and deadline oriented. The Senior Accountant will perform monthly profit and loss and balance sheet analysis, oversee accounts payable posting and monthly close, process monthly accruals, amortization, and allocations, and perform other projects as needed.

Responsibilities

• Process monthly allocations
• Analyse actual results against forecast
• Upload of monthly forecast and accrual files
• Serve as a backup for fleet analysis and posting
• Analyse wages, bonus, and other compensation-related earnings
• Review chargeback items, including travel and other miscellaneous expenses
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and expense management to determine the accuracy
• Review and prepare journal entries related to billing department uploads
• Review and monthly update of assigned balance sheet accounts
• Manage monthly prepaid activity and book amortization
• Oversee accounts payable coding and monthly close of sub-ledger to general ledger

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
• Strong experience with month end close processes and financial statement review
• Strong experience with computerized financial systems
• Software skill in PeopleSoft required
• Strong Excel knowledge 
• Strong profit and loss analysis
• Strong software skills in Excel
