Hiring surged in December with employers adding 312,000 jobs. This figure was well above the expectation of economists and only confirms that the U.S. economy continues to go from strength to strength.

Originally the term was in reference to dating culture where an individual would all of a sudden cease communication with another. We are now seeing this behavior in a professional sphere.

SHRM recently reported on recruitment software company Jobvite’s 2016 Recruiter Nation Survey of more than 1,600 talent acquisition professionals in the U.S. Respondents overwhelmingly believe that hiring will be very difficult in 2017—primarily due to a shortage of qualified candidates in a market with a surplus of open jobs.
