2021 is certainly off to an exciting start at Abacus Group!  Jason Fleischer, Josh Gurin, and Anthony Jacaruso have received new and exciting promotions at Abacus Group. Additionally, Kerri McDonald, Philip Morehouse, Stephanie Spellman, and Liana Hernandez all join us as newly hired associates.

Promotions

    Jason Fleischer

New Title: Partner and Head of the Accounting & Finance Division
Jason joined Abacus Group in April 2007 as an Associate and through his 13-year career steadily rose to become a Director, Senior Director, and finally a Partner in January 2017. Over the years, Jason’s recruiting prowess as well as his natural ability to lead and mentor new recruiters shone through. Now as Head of the Accounting & Finance Division, Jason will continue to guide Abacus Group, as well as our clients and candidates, to continued success.

    Josh Gurin

New Title: Senior Associate, Accounting & Finance Division
Josh started as an Associate with Abacus Group in March 2018 and quickly proved his recruiting skills were a force to be reckoned with. Josh holds the keen ability to find a candidate for almost every job we have. As his career had progressed, Josh has quickly pivoted to a strong business development resource, being an impeccable resource to his clients.

    Anthony Jacaruso

New Title: Senior Associate, Accounting & Finance Division
Coming from a Big 4 accounting background with previous recruiting experience, Anthony hit the ground running when he joined Abacus Group in May 2019. Anthony works hard, is consistent and motivated, and always operates with a sense of urgency, yet keen detail. Anthony’s clients and candidates know that his work ethic results in lasting and successful placements.

New Hires

    Kerri McDonald

Title: Associate, Accounting & Finance Division
Kerri joined Abacus Group as a Summer Intern in 2019 as an Accounting major who was unsure about what she wanted to do after graduation. After choosing to extend the internship through her senior year, Kerri accepting a full-time job as an Associate Recruiter. In the few months since Kerri started, the natural talent we saw during her internship has developed to her becoming a recruiting rockstar.

    Philip Morehouse

Title: Associate, Accounting & Finance Division
With over five years of recruiting experience, Philip joined Abacus Group in December 2020 ready to pivot into the Accounting & Finance space. Philip’s laser focus and agile mindset allow him to build trusted relationships and lasting placements.

    Stephanie Spellman

Title: Senior Associate, Accounting & Finance Division
Stephanie started recruiting three years ago after working as an Auditor at a Big 4 accounting firm. With a warm personality and thoughtful demeanor, Stephanie’s candidates know she is not only going to find them a job, but a career and company they love.

    Liana Hernandez

Title: Associate, Temporary Accounting & Finance Division
Graduating from Rutgers in Spring of 2020, Liana knew she wanted to use her Human Resources degree to find job seekers the right role for them. Liana’s previous internship experiences, in tandem with the training received at Abacus Group, have helped her guide her candidates to success.
